It all changes so fast..

So I am just going to give up..

That is what someone told me this week.

Like me you probably get 20 emails a day about the same must have product, and Thursdays are worst as that is the day that every guru says is best to launch your product on.

I know of one person on a forum who is always mentioning the latest product and looking for advice on it, How the heck they keep up with all this new stuff I don’t know.

If you feel that you are getting snowed under with all the new products and ideas – just stop looking at them.

This is probably the worst thing to tell you – I mean I make a large part of my living out of you buying things from me- but I would rather you took a hiatus from buying for a month and learn how to use the stuff you have already got profitably than lose you altogether.

You don’t have to un-subscribe from lists – you can just set up a separate folder and have all the emails go there and then just delete them.

So (cue music) your mission if you choose to accept it is to go through your desktop , my documents or where ever else you put every downloaded book or bit of software, arrange them by date and actually decide whether you will use what they offer you..

Print out the ebooks – I bind mine (you can get a small binder for less than $20 on ebay) and read them away from the PC- take a pen and pad with you. Make notes and if you know you will never use the ideas then throw the book away and delete the PDF.

Yes I said delete it – if you have a t shirt that you are never going to wear again you would throw it away, well if you are never going to act on the info in the book whats the point in keeping it?

Software – Install it, if you have already installed it then use it. I install software and then never use it all the time, what a waste of time and money.

The basic rules still apply

Build – monetize – drive traffic -

rinse repeat ..

    Hi Paul

As usual you echo my thoughts. Just spent two weeks at sea cleaning out my laptop. It is amazing how much JUNK I have bought over last few years.

    and

Its even more amazing how much USEFUL stuff I had on PC and didnt even know was there i.e PLR etc!

    Back to basics.

    Find a market
    Find Information they want
    Create a report
    Set up sales system
    Sell
    Sell
    Sell

p.s Commenthut is actually one of the few applications that WORKS.

    I use it every morning…..

Now about that web 2.0 organizer we discussed………

  2. Paul, Rob,
Web 2.0 organiser? For the desktop, perhaps?

Sounds like my own product: thefiletagger.com

Am I allowed to mention it? :-)

    Hi Paul,

Great advice, I finally took a break from LOOKING,

Buying new stuff and revisited the stuff I already had.

    2 great things come out of this;

    1. My pc feels much better now it has got rid of loads of useless *r** .

    2. I refound and started using your commenthut again.

It is brilliant and I would recommend to all.

    Thanks again Paul.
