I have been on a couple of calls this last week which have disturbed me, these calls were to people who emailed me questions and included their phone number and I decided to call them rather than emailing the answers.
The calls both disturbed me for the same reason, both these guys were looking to earn money online because they were in dire straits, offline business in trouble and huge medical bills.
They had another thing in common they had both bought every bit of software imaginable and had ebooks to fill a library (well a virtual one).
One other thing they had in common..
They had done nothing
Read and read and read some more , but not one site was built not one product was produced, not one affiliate sale made.
They had both read every ebook and looked at every manual for the software they had purchased, but done nothing.
When people asked me the “secret” to making money online a year ago I said I had no idea..
Now I think I know what the “secret to making money online” is .. ACTION
So if you are already earning money online then you can pretty much ignore the rest of my rant.. but come back tomorrow as I will have something new to throw out there..

Your own Domain Name – I mean like paulforcey.com , david-smith.com or whatever your name is.. go the whole hog and buy the .com , I use namecheap
Hosting – You can buy hosting for one domain on ebay for $10 – or you can pay $10 a month and get enough hosting for 100 sites at Hostgator - I use them and really like them. In fact if you do a search on google for “hostgator coupon” you can normally find a coupon code which gives you the first month for 1cent.
Adsense Account – The easiest way to get one is to open a blog at blogger.com , spend a week or 10 days posting stuff about your hobby, your dog or the place you live and then apply for a adsense account through the blogger system.
Clickbank – Get a clickbank account so you can earn money by referring others to products, they pay by check (or cheque) so the money isn’t instant but it is very nice to get a check in the post when you don’t expect it.
Paydotcom – Similar to Clickbank , paydotcom allows you to earn money from selling other peoples products.
Ok I think that’s enough to be going on with, before this last week I would have sworn that everyone on my list was already making money online..

I used to do that, too — buy everything that showed any promise at all. I acted on some of it, but did not follow thru far enough. Now that I have pretty much bankrupted myself, I am becoming far more picky and am acting more on what I know. I still have a ways to go, but feel I am heading in the right direction.
I am making some on the internet from Google Adsense, but need to work more on diversifying with such as affiliate earnings and getting more traffic to my websites — I do have about 80 sites. Maybe I need to just concentrate on the best 4 or 5 of them instead of trying to make all of them work.
I do appreciate your ideas and software products. They certainly are not among the ones that have basically bankrupted me!
