Economies Gone To Hell In A Handbasket.. Or has it?

If you watch the news it is all doom and gloom and that makes you think the world has gone to hell.. so don’t watch it.

CNBC tell you the stock market is dead and your 401k is worthless.. Are you retiring this year, next year or even the year after? If not then turn of the TV and stop worrying about it.

What is your own personal situation, I have been truly broke and even hungry (although to see me now you wouldn’t believe it) and it was no fun so I do the best I can to make sure I don’t end up there again. If you need money then look at what you do have and what you can do not what you don’t have and can’t do.

  • Can you set up a wordpress site , if not learn now!
  • Can you set up a eBay auction?
  • Do you know ppc inside and out?
  • Are you good with graphics?
  • Are you good at writing articles/blog posts?

If money is the problem you can either cut your spending or earn more, I suggest doing both, but I will just talk about earning more for now.

Don’t just look online , look around at offline opportunities.
Does someone you know make beautiful items in wood?
How about doing a deal to sell them on eBay for them and take a cut of the profits. I was talking to someone who buys some sort of local doll in the Caribbean for $20 and sells then in the new england area for $40 a pop.

Does the guy who sprays your house for bugs have a website? If not why not offer to build him a site (using wordpress) for either cash, or 2 years of free bug spraying (saves you the $30 a month you would normally pay him).

Books – you have plr rights to a book on new age healing/yoga/some other health related stuff – edit it so it reads nicely and has no references to websites then go to amazon and get half a dozen printed. Then go to every health food, independent bookshop and yoga studio and ask them to stock it on sale or return.

Think in 3 time zones

Short Term Cash Zone – What can I do that will pay me NOW

Mid Term Cash Zone – Ebay auctions, week to run, another week to get paid

Long Term Cash Zone – The wooden item you sell on ebay, you know the customer likes wood stuff, so keep their info and look for what else you can sell them.

Stop jumping into the latest thing that every tom dick and harry is selling, if you only do 3 ebay auctions and then give up you can’t say “ebay doesn’t work”. If you only talk to one person about a website you can’t say “no one wants a site”.

Oh and don’t ever tell me “it’s easy for you” , because it isn’t easy for anyone. I have a mate who earns a nice steady $4k+ a month online working from home, but what people don’t ever see is the 12 hour days he puts in.  Making money online isn’t as easy as falling off a log but with persistence, direction and some common sense most of you can do it!

Is it time to sell “real” items?

Last night I watched the videos that are being shown during the warm up period for the next Product Launch Formula (not an aff link) release and a few things struck me.
:-Weird niches (well ok weird to me) :-P hysical products
:-Membership sites

Out of the 4 videos I watched only 1 guy was selling a digital download product and he was the one who did the smallest launch.
At least two of the 3 did mention that they had their own lists already, so I don’t think it is just a case of buy the product launch formula on Monday and make $10k by Friday, and to be fair it doesn’t seem to be getting promoted as a “make a million with no work” product.

It seems that more and more people are talking to me about membership sites and also physical products.
I am also starting to hear more about exit strategies , no I am not going anywhere, when people discuss a exit strategy they mean a way to realize all the money from their site.
If you build a membership site with 1,000 members at $10 a month, that gets you $10k a month, which is nothing to be sneezed at for sure. However you are tied to that site, you can’t really go off on a walkabout for 6 months of the year. So you think about selling it for a lump sum.

The trouble is you never thought about selling it when you were setting it up so everything is all a bit intertwined , the aweber account you use for it is the same one you use for all your other business’s , the paypal account is your main one so you can’t just pass it over, every domain is named after you so it is going to be weird when someone else suddenly appears as the face and voice of the site..

I think what I am saying is that the Product Launch Formula looks great, does anyone have a exit strategy formula, or is that not something anyone else has thought of.
Are we building business’s online or just making money?

Where have you been hiding?

Sometimes I know I seem to just disappear and what am I doing when I am not here?

Well we spent the weekend clearing out my desk and putting more boxes into storage.
I took some pics of the stuff that was in my desk..lol
I will resize them and upload them for you all to laugh at.

Well I have finally made some progress on my target for this year of one software a month, I have just got the final version of a new tool back from my programmer and that is ready for me to start writing the book, make some videos and get some beta testers.

I also have a tool that I bought the code to from a mate of mine last year and I had totally forgotten about it, so I am going to go through that decide what changes I need made to that and get my man started on that next week.

I am also talking to a friend about a idea for a keyword tool, something easy to use and cheap.

So that makes 3 bits of software!
Now I am not going to have any of them ready for January but I think February will be a goer.

The main problem I have is doing it all the right way, I know that I make more money if I take the time to write a report and give it away and do the whole affiliates/jv thing.
But that takes time and means I can’t move onto the next idea, so I tend to just miss all that bit out..

I will try and do it right this time honest..

Ok I am going back to my software and nappies..
The nappies are not mine honest..
