Just got a email asking me where todays web 2.0 question and answer is..
Well it is Saturday and I pretty much don’t work on Saturday and Sunday, I do check my emails for any support issues once in the morning and once at night but apart from that I spend time doing other things.
Today we went out for lunch with my inlaws as it is my mother in laws birthday, Happy 150th birthday Mimi (she never reads this.. she doesn’t like the Interior net , her words not mine) , then we went shopping and then out to dinner.
Tomorrow I will be reading the weekends papers sitting outside round a fire and play with my dog and chill out with Kathy and Cameron for the day.
Why am I bothering to tell you this?
Well isn’t that why I work on the Internet, so I can have some freedom..
In my old “real” job I was on call one weekend in 3 and could be (and was) called into the office at regular times for problems , which turned out to be nothing 80% of the time. I was even called in one Christmas day.
So I say long live the Internet revolution and if you are working on the Internet so you can quit your J.O.B all power to your elbow, but don’t forget what really matters, your family..
